We offer flexible volunteer shifts to fit your schedule and highlight what makes YOU fantastic. Running a sustainable thrift store comes with all kinds of work including categorizing, inventory, media management, and even database updates.

How long are volunteer shifts?

Volunteer shifts are flexible, and we encourage at least four hours a week. Please contact us if you have any questions

What does the work involve?

We encourage volunteers to get involved however they can—no fashion sense required! This can include sorting clothes, taking inventory, or updating our online store with new items. If you have questions about specific tasks and availability, please contact us

Does working at Thrift & Fund count towards volunteer hours?

Absolutely!
Thrift & Fund is an extension of the Low Entropy Foundation, which means working hours count as volunteer hours.

Does working at Thrift & Fund count as work experience?

Volunteering at Thrift & Fund may count as work experience, depending on your program. Contact us to find out more.

Who can volunteer?

We welcome all volunteers 16 and up. If you are under 16 and wish to participate, exceptions may be made if accompanied by an adult.

How does this effort make an impact?

Thrifting gently used clothing and other items gives them a second life, supporting our environment by providing recycled, sustainable purchasing options. In addition, all profits from Thrift & Fund go straight back to the Low Entropy Foundation, supporting community-building programs that impact the Tri-City area and beyond.
